Cet ouvrage collectif rédigé en 2004 par Grazia Borrini-Feyerabend, Michel Pimbert, M.Taghi Farvar, Ashish Kothari, Yves Renard et al présente un ensemble de réflexion particulièrement éclairant sur la nécessité de mettre en place une gestion collective et partagée des ressources naturelles et sur les moyens et outils qui la permettent.

The distribution of power in society profoundly affects the conditions for sustainable natural resource management. When the interests of the local level are not represented in policy-making processes that take place in other spheres of power, the co-management of natural resources is not feasible in the long term.
